My Christmas Wish list!

So I've been racking my brain these last few days to try and figure out a post to do! The videos are always fun to do but I've been having some major technical difficulties with youtube and it is just frustrating and blogging is not putting up videos because I can't figure what to write; but anyways, I decided that I should do a Christmas Wish List!

So people always ask what I want for christmas and when I am put on the spot like that I have no idea what to say and just have a complete brain fart! ha ha but taking the time out to think about it I have realized that I do have some specific things that I want!

So the first and probably most expensive that I expect no one to get me because its kind of an outrageous gift to ask for is the Sigma Complete Kit with Brush Roll. Now for most makeup Gurus that I have been watching lately have this entire set and have paid for it with their own money and if I don't get this for christmas I will hopefully be getting a job soon after the new year and buy it with my own hard earned cash but these brushes are pretty essential for any makeup person, they have a lot of eye brushes that I don't have at the moment like the Sigma E30 (Right) which is a brush to apply eyeshadow to the crease, blending it in, and lower lash line, the Sigma E40 (Left) which is a brush for blending. Those are the two main ones that I would be so excited to use but I would be over the moon if I got this for Christmas.  The Pink Complete Kit right now is on sale for $79.00 for all of the brushes AND the brush roll. Now normally the Brushes alone are $79.00 and with the Brush Roll it is $99.00 but if you get the pink set of brushes, they come with the exact same brushes as the Black just 20 dollars less!

The next thing on my christmas list would be for someone that were like just friends or family members because you never really want anyone spending too much on you, I just feel its kind of bad to only list expensive things on a wish list because if its out of someones budget, then what are they supposed to get you.  Anyways, the next thing I think is kind of universal for pretty much any girl is a Target Gift Card!  Target has become one of my favorite stores in the last four or five months, it literally is probably just one of the best gift you could get me, because I can actually go in for myself and find something I like and I still think that you put thought into the gift.  Contrary to popular belief, I think that giving a gift card is an amazing because your giving the receiver a choice of what they want.  Other places I think gift card would be greatly appreciated is Windsor, H&M and Bath & Body Works.  My four favorite places to shop at the moment!!

The Last thing I think I would want is a Itunes gift card! I need a major update on my ipod and that seems like a really generic gift, but I seriously neeeeeeed new music, I slowly dying because I'm getting so tired of my music.
oh and p.s. anyone shopping for a college student, a STARBUCKS gift card is essential!!!! I live off Starbucks when Im in school! I swear I pay those people's salaries with how much I drink from there!

Videos on the Blog?

I have gotten more into making videos on youtube to expand blogging to kind of a new level but I wanted to get feedback from you guys to let me know if you like me putting up my youtube videos on on this blog. Let me know if you like it, I know there are a lot of tags on youtube that can't be done with just blogging so that is a big reason why I wanted to do a youtube channel.

So let me know! I would love to hear your opinions!

Waxing Vs. Veet Hair Removal?

So this post will definitely get into kind of the nitty gritty of hair removal, but anyways with all of that aside here goes with the actual review.  I recently was introduced into waxing about three months ago and the first time I went I thought it was the best alternative to shaving, seriously when people say that once you start to wax you cant go back, well what they say is true.  For my first time I went to a higher end waxing salon called European Wax Center and they do practically everything, my experience was very pleasing, they are extremely clean and it was just an all around very trustworthy place.  But the major downside was paying 50 dollars for a brazilian every four weeks when I don't have a job and money is tight with going to school, so I had to find an alternative so sustain me. After waxing, shaving never really seems like and option anymore just because shaving can cause a lot of razor burns and hair grows back even thicker so that just wasn't an option.

After doing some research, I found this product Veet! Initially I was looking into the Hair removal Cream Nair, but after seeing so many reviews on how badly burned and irritated their skin was I decided to pass and look more into Veet.   Veet is also a Cream Hair Removal System and it comes in creams, sprays, and a self waxing kit.  The creams come in regular, dry skin and sensitive skin; I chose to pick up sensitive thinking that it would be a lot less harsh on my skin.

So onto the Product Review, for the most part this is a really good product, it does the exact same work as shaving except without all the nasty razor bumps. I doesn't "take out" all the hair like waxing would because its not getting down into the root of the hair follicle but it is still a great alternative for a lower budget, its costs around $10.95 for a 13.5 OZ which is a pretty big bottle.  Veet can be used on the Legs, Underarms, and Bikini Line. Overall its a pretty good product, it gave me no irritation but to be completely honest, if I could constantly afford it, I would continue waxing, it really is the most amazing thing but so far this is a great alternative and it will sustain me until I get a job!

p.s. if you are going to wax, make sure you go to a place that does hard wax and do not use strips because strips can rip your skin off along with your hair making waxing a really bad experience and hard wax only attaches to the hair follicles so do research before getting anything done!

Color it up!

The days have pretty much plateaued when it comes to how cold it gets here in Sunny San Diego but even though it has plateaued it still is pretty cold on the occasion which is why I love bundling up in my boots, leggings and some very stylish sweaters.  Normally I gravitate more towards darker colors like black and grey so when I piece something together it can look a bit monotone and I have been really trying to step away from that comfort zone and going towards more towards wintery colors but in darker tones. I have really been loving the colors plum, cranberry and red! These colors I feel bring out the holiday spirit and they are such great alternatives to the darker and kind of dull colors black and grey.

Here are some lovely choices from Windsor:

I absolutely love this cold shoulder sweater it is so cute and very stylish and it adds a little twist to the regular sweater that every single person has. This red sweater is such a beautiful statement piece that will bring anyone out of they're shell!
These are such lovely colors and sweaters and they look so beautiful for the winter season! These two Cowl Neck Sweaters are from Forever 21 and come in a lot more colors if these aren't your favorite colors.

Lastly, 16 DAYS TILL CHRISTMAS!!!

For all of you College Students

As finals week is coming up I feel like I've been M.I.A. for the longest time but I am back! at least for right now when I am taking a break from studies and writing a million and one essays. I wanted to talk about a product that I recently found online that I've only briefly seen in person but I must say they are the must have for all college students!!

I was browsing through this site for college and military called http://dormbuys.com/, I really like this website, it really has everything a student needs to stay organized and ready for college but I was mainly focusing on food. Lately I have been spending SO MUCH on food and everything that isn't that expensive is not very healthy for you.  So on this website they have these containers that carry your cereal, salad, and other little snackers. First I'll start off with the cereal,

"The milk stays cold by keeping the gel filled cup frozen in your small dorm freezer. Once the gel is frozen, pour your milk in the cup portion and twist the bottom cup to the cereal bowl section. Once they are together you'll have Cereal On The Go."

This is the product I saw being put to use that sparked my interest in this brand all together, I am the type of person that doesn't like to eat breakfast right when I wake up so the idea of being able to keep milk cold and still be able to eat a good breakfast at around 9 or 10 sounds like an awesome deal. This will run you around 3 dollars but shipping should cost you.

The next product that I found really good would be the EZ Freeze Deluxe Salad Kit, I like creating really creative salads for school but what I really don't like is when my ziplock container breaks open in my backpack and getting food all over my books.

"This deluxe salad kit will keep your veggies and salad dressing colder for a longer period of time. The set includes a tray with patented freezer gel technology; just keep in the freezer until you need to make your salad."

I am so excited to try these products out! I will definitely be making an order soon because I really would like some things like these to keep everything organized. Being extra creative with this, this could also work for a fruit salad! This product will run you about 8 dollars and again it will be plus shipping.

Another, and the Last food item I found is this veggie or fruit holder bowl that is a lot like the salad holder but a bit smaller. I really like this kind of holder because, college food at the cafeteria is expensive and this really gives you the opportunity to create something a lot healthier and a lot cheaper too!

"Our Fruit & Veggie Bowl will allow you to take healthy food to class or to your after class activities for a quick and healthy snack"

This product will run you about 10 dollars so its a bit more expensive than the others which I quite don't understand but I'm not the one running the company.

These containers are not exclusive to fruits and veggies, so by no means am I saying go super healthy or start eating fruits and veggies if thats not your thing, but this is a great way to carry your food from home and save money especially if you want to keep your things cold.

The last thing that I wanted to show is this really handy i.d. holder!  I don't know if its just me but I hate having to switch my wallet from my backpack to my purses when I go out and sometimes my wallet doesn't fit in my smaller purses and then I have to take out my license and accommodate everything and then I forget to put it back and then end up driving without a license which is extremely bad! So there is this really handy i.d. keeper that can also serve as a discrete wallet.

"With its zipper closure, clear panel ID holder, key ring, and removable wrist strap, our ID Keeper allows you to carry your student ID, license, cards, and cash discreetly and in style."

I think this is so handy and probably one of the best things for me, now I know that there are some probably out there in retail stores, but I have just never realized I really needed it until now.

I really like all of these product and I think they are so handy, if I do end up making and order I will definitely let you know how they've worked out. I have a couple new things coming up! stay tuned, I just need to get through finals week.

WISH ME LUCK!

Steven by Steve Madden 'Intyce' Boot Review

Okay so I know I have already talked about these boots in a previous post (here), but after four years of practically putting these boots through hell and back, it pains me to say, that these shoes have expired!  I have had these boots for so long and didn't think to take care of them when they started to begin to scuff up, so when i say it's my fault, I am definitely telling the truth.  But for a while I have been on the lookout for new boots, I really cannot find anything that even comes close to my old Steve Madden Boots.

With this review, these Steve Madden boots come in Black, Grey, Green, Cognac (beige brown) and when I was at Nordstrom the other day, I found that the Cognac color is just a nice pop to any monochromatic outfit.  I'm a person that tends to go for all black outfits and the Cognac color is always a nice touch.  This boot has a wedge of 1 1/4 inch heel and it is the easiest shoe to put on, be comfortable and look great!

All in All these boots are the most amazing thing I have had, they are so comfortable, they last forever even when not kept in great shape but they will run you back about $125, so they are expensive but I really hope I can afford these by christmas because I am shedding massive tears for the passing away of my Black  Steven by Steve Madden 'Intyce' Boot Review.
