Maybelline Super Stay 24hr Concealer

Dark Circles, bags under your eyes, how do you deal!?  Concealer, concealer is probably one of my most needed cosmetics; it is just some random trait in our family to have dark circles under our eyes so I always turn to concealer. I used to use MAC concealer but buying from MAC can become expensive as everyone knows, so I decided to try Maybelline's Super Stay 24hr Concealer and I personally really like it so far, it has really great coverage when it comes to the dark circles and it practically erases then completely! It says on the package that it covers dark circles for 24 hours and doesn't crease or smudge. I would say it does about 2 out the 3 things it says it does. It definitely covers dark circles and stays for basically the entire day which is amazing in itself because I don't want to have to retouch every couple of hours but the only con I have about this item is creasing! If you get terrible bags under your eyes, this is not the product for you. I was trying to hide some creases the other day, and it just kind of emphasized them more in my opinion even though it still took away the darkness!

I still really like this concealer as a cover for the shadow under my eyes, so this product is not a complete dud in my eyes but it is definitely not an +A winner.  This ran me back about 6.00 at target so it did not hit my pocket that hard and that is always a plus!  So all in all if you have dark circles under your eyes and you haven't really found a good coverage product, I would try this one! It really is a super stay concealer!

Bed Head TIGI After Party Review

I've recently cut my hair quite short after having it long for practically my whole life and I didn't really know how to style my hair to make it look like its full potential until I got advice after getting my hair cut. Anyways, after I got my hair cut, the stylist put Bed Head's After Party smoothing cream, and I swear, my hair hasn't felt soft soft and looked so healthy in a really long time! I have been using this product for about two weeks now for styling after I wash it, and I wash my hair about every 2 days just because washing everyday can strip your hair of its natural oils and that can actually cause more frizziness.  It says to put the product in your hair after it's dry but I towel dry my hair and brush through first and then style with Bed Head After Party.

I love this product so much and it has made the transition of cutting my hair short so much easier and I am so happy that I've found a product that works on frizz and really last throughout the day without feeling greasy.  The will cost about 18.79 and you can get it from any beauty supplies, Target, or Salon that carry it.

Sally Hansen MegaShine

I keep up with a lot of beauty blogs and when I come across posts with rave reviews of a product I always get a little curious to try it because most bloggers are not paid to say good things about a product, so you end up getting an really honest review rather than some ad that promises false outcomes. Anyways, after my rant, one of my favorite bloggers Fleur De Force wrote about Sally Hansen's Megashine topcoat a while ago and I was dying to try it.  This has been literally my new favorite item for the last two months or so, this topcoat leaves your nail polish looking like you just stepped out of a salon and I am not very good with keeping my nails from chipping and this says that it keeps nails from chipping for 10 days and for me it has lasted a bit longer than the 10 days promised. Another really cool thing about this topcoat, is that you can put it on wet nails! Now I know that sounds crazy but it makes your nails dry so much faster, so you don't have to wait 20,000 hours for your nails to dry.  You can buy Sally Hansen's Megashine and any CVS or Walgreens but I got mine at target and they will run you about 8 dollars but it is such an investment because after I put on whatever nail polish I want, I put megashine on and it literally looks like its out of a salon! Totally LOVE this product and I don't I'll ever go to a salon again to get my nails done.. well except for my toes, every girl loves a good pedicure! :)

This or That?!

So I've see this on youtube and with a couple people like missglamorazzi and Fleur De Force and I thought it'd be a cool post. I got these questions from Liasbubblebath's blog.
MAKEUP:
blush or bronzer?
Blush! blush is an amazing tool to help brighten up your face and Benefit's Sugarbomb  is really good mix of pink and a bit of bronze.
lip gloss or lipstick?
neither, I would normally go for lip gloss just because I like a nice pink flush but right now, I'm really liking chapstick just because it keeps my lips really soft and lip gloss doesn't really do that a lot.
eye liner or mascara?
Mascara! even if I'm too lazy to put on any other makeup, mascara is a fast and easy way to brighten your face and look more fresh.
foundation or concealer?
Concealer, in my family we all have really dark circles under our eyes, so concealer is a necessity for me and concealer can always cover up any blemishes , foundation has never really been that important for me.
neutral or color eye shadow?
Neutral, I've never liked bright colors on eyes, I just think its too much makeup and makeup should emphasize people's beauty not mask it.
pressed or loose eye shadows?
Loose ones are such a mess!
brushes or sponges?
Brushes, I love what different brushes can do
NAILS:
OPI or china glaze?
OPI all the way! I love the formulation and their colors as well.
Long or short?
Short. Its a lot classier and just really polished.
Acrylic or natural?
Natural, because my nails are healthier and I just think acrylics are too fake.
Brights or darks ?
Darks i guess cause I don't like neons, but I do love colors
FASHION:
jeans or sweat pants?
Jeans! you will probably never catch me in sweats lol.
long sleeve of short?
Short Sleeve just because you can wear a jacket over it if it's too cold but short sleeves are just a lot comfier.
dresses or skirts?
Dresses. they're just a lot more fun and flirty.
stripes or plaid?
Stripes! I feel like they're so easy to wear and and just fun but you have to be careful because stripes can make people's body look wider and no one wants that!
flip flops or sandals?
I could live in flip flops! nuff said :)
scarves or hats?
Scarves! I have a massive addiction to scarves its actually a problem haha! they are just so versatile and just too cute! There are some new ones at Forever 21 that are to die for!
studs or dangly earrings?
Studs are just so classy
necklaces or bracelets?
bracelets, necklaces just break on me too often, I've practically given up.
heels or flats?
I love heels! they are just so sexy and since I'm short, I feel so much taller an its a nice feeling
cowboy boots or riding boots?
Riding boots are really polished a good way to finish an outfit.
jacket or hoodie?
Jackests are more figure flattering so I really like jackets.
forever 21 or charlotte russe?
Forever 21, though I don't like some of the fabric of the clothes, they're clothes are a lot better that Charlotte
saks 5th or nordstrom?
Nordstrom, its a lot cheaper than Saks 5th
HAIR:
curly or straight?
my hair is naturally curly so it depends, I really like my hair straight but curly is also really fun when it wants t be cooperative.
bun or ponytail?
Ponytail
bobby pins or butterfly clips?
bobby pins!
hair spray or gel ?
Scince my hair is medium to long, I don't need gel.
long or short ?
I just cut my hair short and I'm loving it.
light or dark ?
Highlights :)
side sweep bangs or full bangs?
side sweep! full bangs look fugly on me!
up or down ?
down, I don't like my hair up :(

Fall Ponchos and Coats

Fall is finally here in sunny San Diego and fall trends are becoming a necessity.  Ponchos are a really big trend this season and from what I've seen on celebrities and in stores, I'm really liking it!  I found 2 ponchos at H&M that are so cute and definitely don't hit the wallet too hard.  Both Ponchos I found are
1.from H&M, and the Gray cable knit poncho also comes in Brown Marl, black, gray marl, and natural white and goes for 24.99. The second, is another poncho from H&M and has more of a classic feel with the soft fabric and classic color of beige; but also comes in black going for 14.99!  Now onto coats, Coats are one of my favorite items to keep warm and truthfully, coats are a classic piece that never go out of style.  I found two from Forever 21, that I think are classic pieces but one is more of a statement jacket. The first is a Top Stitched Felt Coat, and I have a coat almost exactly this one, and it's the best to keep warm and still look stylish, instead of wearing a typical college student sweatshirt. The other, is a Red Statement Coat (Double Breasted Knit Coat) that really is a good piece to have when you really want to stand out in a crowd! (in a good way of course :))
Now I know I always put items from H&M and Forever 21, but I am always trying to stay on a budget considering my Uni is taking all of my spare money with useless things like books and classes! (haha just kidding ;)) So if anyone has any other really good stores that has quality trendy clothes at a reasonable price, I more than willing to do a post on them too! also let me know if your liking these types of posts and a suggestions are more than welcome!
